THE GOOD LIFE

North America's 9th largest Mountain

People love skiing and snowboarding at RED Mountain Resort as much for what it is as for what it isn’t. Vast, challenging, and home to world-class vertical drops and some of the best tree runs on the planet, but never crowded, over-developed, generic, or frustrating.

This storied four-season resort is growing responsibly and carefully, with a keen eye to not losing what we loved about it in the first place. The last few years have seen a boutique hotel, The Josie, open at the base, but it has also seen a new modern hostel, Nowhere Special, open just up the street. We’ve put in new ski lifts and opened up new peaks and terrain, but we’ve kept our incredible offer of $20/run backcountry cat skiing and developed more adventures and epic events for the non-snow months. We listen to our visitors and, especially, to our famously friendly locals. They are the beating heart of RED and without them we’re just another ski hill.

We’ve Got the Goods to Back it Up

Located in Rossland, B.C, the first stop on Canada’s famous Powder Highway, fiercely independent RED Mountain Resort delivers 3,850 acres of pristine skiing, putting us in the Top 10 largest resorts in North America. With a new chairlift recently added, 7 more runs covering over 300 additional acres on Topping Creek to streamline skier flow to Grey Mountain, and continuing terrain enhancements and expansions, this is the Year of RED.

With 25 feet of annual snowfall, $20/run cat-skiing, a contemporary boutique hotel and a modern hostel at the base, it’s no wonder The New York Times voted us (and our friendly locals) as the “#8 Best Place in the World to Visit.” We also nabbed “Most Underrated Resort” from Skiing Magazine. And did we mention “#1 Most Acres Per Skier”? Meaning fresh turns you don’t have to fight for.
